Atherton & Associates, LLP is seeking a self-motivated, client-focused individual to join our team as a Assurance Manager or Supervisor to help us continue to provide the excellent client service that we are known for.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Current California CPA license.
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Strong technology skills and proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office. Working knowledge and experience with ProSystem fx Engagement are a plus.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to professionally maintain a high level of interaction with clients.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with accuracy.
  • Ability to coach, delegate, lead and motivate staff.
  • Superior client service with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple assurance engagements by overseeing the planning, organizing, and execution of engagements. Provide business and advisory services to our audit clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external business partners as required in order to provide exceptional value to clients.
  • Develop a professional relationship with clients and gain their respect and confidence by consistently delivering excellent work product and providing exceptional client service.
  • Proactively assist the Firm with business development and client relationships.
  • Provide training to co-workers and associates as needed on technical areas of expertise.
  • Give insight and thought leadership to the Firm on audit/assurance matters.
  • Create and maintain continuing professional education schedule for department staff.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate department staff.
