Craig Schaurer, CPA

Craig Schaurer has been in the field of public accounting since 2006. As a Tax Partner with the firm, his primary focus is on tax compliance and planning for the agricultural industry which includes the entire supply chain from the land-owning farmer, to custom farming, transportation, equipment manufacturing, as well as commodity processing, packing, and shipping. Working in the agricultural space has provided him with a vast range of experience from entity and individual tax compliance and planning to specialty taxation of Interest Charged Domestic International Sales Corporations (IC-DISC’s) and Cooperative taxation and consultation.

Due to many agricultural clients having large California land and business holdings, he has also developed extensive experience in estate planning as it relates to the family farming enterprise. Inevitably, as family businesses grow and move through the generations, disputes can arise related to the operations of the business. When this happens, as the trusted financial advisor for his clients, Craig has assisted in various roles related to litigation support including forensic accounting, arbitration and mediation assistance, and projections related to business cash flow and profit.
