Loren Kuntz, CPA

Loren Kuntz is an Assurance Partner at Atherton & Associates with more than 30 years of experience providing audit, assurance, and advisory services to closely held businesses and organizations throughout California’s Central Valley and beyond. He plays a key leadership role within the firm, overseeing quality control in the areas of assurance and accounting while also supporting the firm’s internal financial operations and strategic initiatives.

Loren specializes in audit and assurance services, financial reporting, internal controls, and client advisory services. He works closely with businesses across a wide range of industries, including agriculture, construction, food and beverage, manufacturing, transportation, and not-for-profit organizations. His experience allows him to assist clients navigate reporting requirements, operational challenges, and long-term financial planning with practical, business-minded guidance.

Known for his practical and collaborative approach, Loren works alongside business owners, management teams, and internal departments to deliver responsive service and thoughtful oversight. Clients frequently rely on him for audit oversight, strategic financial guidance, and support in strengthening internal accounting and reporting processes. In addition to serving clients, Loren provides leadership to the firm’s Assurance Team, CAS Team, and compliance and quality control initiatives.
