Sydne Brainard is an Assurance Supervisor at Atherton & Associates, where she provides audit and assurance services to clients across a broad range of industries. Since beginning her public accounting career in 2021, she has worked with organizations in the agriculture, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, nonprofit, and employee benefit plan sectors. Sydne helps clients navigate financial reporting requirements, strengthen internal controls, and maintain compliance with confidence.

Known for her collaborative and detail-oriented approach, Sydne works closely with clients and engagement teams to keep audits moving efficiently while ensuring clients understand necessary accounting and assurance matters. She supports engagements from planning through completion by coordinating engagement teams, managing client relationships, and addressing engagement challenges, such as audit timelines, internal control deficiencies, and financial data discrepancies.

In addition to serving clients, Sydne plays an active role within Atherton’s Assurance Team through staff onboarding, staff training, reviewing deliverables, tracking projects, suggesting improvements, and implementing internal quality management initiatives. Her proactive mindset and commitment to client service support both strong engagement outcomes and a positive team environment.
